Bahala na si Batman

How am I in my new work?
I'm pulling this bahala na si Batman trick. It's like trying to hit a baseball with my eyes shut, and fingers-crossed. Many times, I striked. A few times, I get my bases loaded. But no homeruns yet. Well it will be bloody lucky to hit a homerun with eyes shut anyhow.
Well I guess I'm getting less sensitive already. Unlike before, when a mistake or a comment from a client (internal/external) will get in to me, now I'm learning to "make deadma" (sorry for the taglish phrase) of them. In such a fast paced environment, there is no time to sulk. You do your job (though sometimes you do it incorrectly), then you get by with it. Hear the comments, but don't take them personally. Everything is but an opportunity for improvement.
I guess I have to be more "on-top" of things now. But the issue is, it's hard to be on-top of gazillion things at once. It's more than a balancing act. It's like one of favorite my segments in takeshi's castle before, the one wherein the contestants jump from one rock to another on a river. Some rocks, are actually styrofoams. I have to jump and be on-top of these rocks almost at the same time. And some rocks are bound to sink anyhow.
O well, I just wish I can close my eyes and hope everything will be alright.
